New Born Is Having Fever And Passing Loose Stool After Breastfeeding. What Should Be Done?

Thanks for your query to healthcare magic.
How long this loose stool problem is present? How many times per day?
Usually breast-fed babies pass semi loose stool and passing stool immediately after feed (gastrocolic reflex) is quite normal in many babies. It is the recent change in consistency and frequency that is important. How about your baby?
Don't worry. Keep breastfeeding your child and try to give more feeds than before. She needs to be hydrated well. She should pass atleast six times urine. Don't need to stop breastfeeding or give anything other than breast feeding not even water.
If the problem persists, urine frequency is decreasing, or baby is not breastfeeding well, it’s always better to get a pediatrician opinion. Babies with infection can present as diarrhea.
Don't worry. She will be all right. Just be vigilant enough and if in doubt get a pediatrician opinion.
