Question : New diagnosis bronchiectasis. why is GERD a complication with that? choking some on food, gagging, coughing, then phlegm

What is best OTC for acid reflux or GERD? My pulmonologist reports I have bronchiectasis from both chronic pneumonia and chronic bronchitis per CT scan...widening of airways.

Best treatment of GERD is combination of omeprazole and levosulperide. But I don't think this combination is available over the counter.
