Question : Nothing I can do. It hurts to breathe. I have a O2 sensor and it says 93 so I guess I'm getting enough air but I'm unable to function. very tight chess, pressure in my chest and incredible urge to cough something up, but nothing comes up. I do duo neb treatments steroids, 1200MG of musilex twice a day. its been 3 weeks and nothing is working. I am unable to sleep because I cant breathe well at all. I am not panicked but I need a solution. i have seen my family dr a few times. At what point do I go to the hospital? What to do from here?

                                    Brief Answer:
Please call ER
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome in Ask the Doctor
I am sorry for your situation
According to the history of your symptoms (three weeks) considering the fact that you have already met your doctor and despite the right treatment with nebuliser and steroids, it doesn't seem to have worked. In this scenario, I strongly recommend you to call ER and to get medical help. In such circumstances you need to go to hospital. You should be helped first with oxygen and with some blood tests and a chest X ray repeated. I don't think you can do anything else at home. Please call ER.
I wish a fast recovery for you
Hope to have been helpful
