Noticed Brown String In Bowel Movements. What Could It Be?

Thank you for posting a query.
Look, a brown stringy bowel movement may occur due to upper gastrointestinal bleeding. It may occur due to gastric ulcer or irritable bowel disease.
So, you need a clinical examination first. In case of clinical suspicion, upper gastrointestinal endoscopy should be considered to rule out any gastric ulcer. If required, a stool examination is also suggested.
Now, you need a pantoprazole group of drug. Take it every day at morning before breakfast. You should take a light diet. Avoid fast food, alcohol.
Lastly, consult with your general physician in person for a detailed clinical examination and for ordering required investigations and also for further management accordingly.
Hope this information suffices. Let me know, if you have any more queries.
Regards.
