Question : My husband has had a "trace" of blood in his urine for over a year, should we be concerned? And if so, why?
Hi,
Thanks for your query.
Blood in urine can be caused my many conditions as following , which when not treated early can lead to problems.
Kidney stones,
Stricture,
Growth in urinary tract,
Infarction in the kidney,
Bladder injury etc
All above conditions can be cured if identified early.
Hence , I suggest you to get a Urine Microscopy test done as soon as possible. This test may provide a clue into the cause and how to proceed further.
Hope I answered your query.
Wish you good health.
