After a major surgery it is common to have such muscle pains due to dehydration or muscle pain or spasms . This can be related to the effect of anaesthetic medications and an electrolyte imbalance. Muscle pull can also cause such a pain. It is best to take rest and do a hot compress ion the area. You can also apply volini gel in the area for relief. In case the pain is intense or persistent then do attend an ER and get some oral muscle relaxants prescribed for relief.
