One Day Old Having Dark Black Patch On Eyelid And Ear Parts. What Could It Be?

Question: A one day old new born boy child has dark black patch on right eye covering eyelid and part of the ear.
What and why it is so ?

It can be a nevus .
Is it over the upper eyelid only or over compete eye?
What was the doctor's opinion?

It covers full eye up to ear and thickness is observed on eyelid.the other movements are normal.

Hi,
It can be a nevus or mole.

The baby has to be seen by an eye doctor ,when stable otherwise.

This is to see whether there is any involvement of the inner part of eye or it is only superficial on the skin only.
