Question: One of my relative consulted a ENT specialist for a Tinnitus problem in her right ear. She is also a early stage breast cancer survivor(2nd year after detection). Looking at her history doctor straight away suggested a brain MRI and the report is attached.
They are yet to consult the ENT again with reports but request your inputs on the report and possible causes for her Tinnitus

Brief Answer:
MRI report does not show any serious abnormality.

Detailed Answer:
HI,

I have noted your relative's clinical details and MRI brain reports. I would like to reassure that MRI does not show any serious abnormality. Small vessel ischemia refers to mild lack of blood flow to brain. Risk factors for this include high BP, sugar and cholesterol. If any of these are present, they should be kept in control.

Mild cerebral atrophy refers to mild decrease in size of brain, which is normal with ageing. Vascular loop also is an incidental finding, and it does not cause any symptoms.

Regarding tinnitus, ENT doctor has to review her, as it is usually due to ear problem.
Thanks.
