Question : Opiate addict. I took four pills that looked like real oxycontin but may not be. I instantly got tingly and sleepy and did not feel like an opiate. The pills tasted and smelled sort of like bleach. I started getting an upset stomach and have had diarrhea and yellow stool since then. It has been over 24 hours since i took them. I went to urgent care, one said to go to an er the other said i should be ok. It has been 30+ hours since ingestion. I have not thrown up but the feeling is there slightly. Should i go to an er?

                                    Brief Answer:
Go to ER
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for posting your query.
I am Dr.R.K and I am pleased to assist you.
It is unlikely to be opioid. Because opioids usually cause constipation. But you have developed diarrhea.
But since you are not sure about what you have ingested and the doctors who have examined you also not sure about how to proceed further, I would advise you to go to ER for complete evaluation to be on the safer side.
Drink enough fluids to remain well hydrated as you have had diarrhea.
Regards,
Dr.R.K.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Since it is more than 48 hours now and that you feel better, ER visit is no longer required.
Just keep yourself well hydrated by drinking enough fluids.
If you develop drowsiness, decreased urine output, get medical attention.
