Question : Over the past 24 hours, 3 bouts of light nausea, immediately followed by lightheadness and head sweating. These bouts last for less than 30 seconds. I have been treated for high blood for years. My doctor is currently adjusting my meds to get it under control with mixed results. current readings today average 140/100. I am taking 240mg cartia xt, metoprolol 50mg and Lisinopril 15mg daily. I agressively work out on a elipical machine everyday at level 17 on a hill program for a 1/2 hour with no exception for years. I have zero issues ever with any pain or shortness of breathe. I have a follow up appointment with my doctor for blood pressure review. Should I seek an appointment prior to this date.

Regarding your concern, I would explain that your symptoms could be related to an inner ear disorder.
Blood pressure fluctuations ( low blood pressure) could lead to this clinical situation too.

Coming to this point, I would recommend you to closely monitor your blood pressure values and avoid abrupt head movements or standing up from sitting position.

In case of low blood pressure, reducing the dose of your antihypertensive drugs may be necessary.

In my opinion you should wait and see if your situation improves.

If these episodes keep repeating and your blood pressure values are normal, it would be necessary consulting with an ENT specialist.
