Over The Years And Due To A Nerve Condition I Have Atypical Odontalgia

Question: Hi, doctor. I have 2 implants that are very close together and in for many years now. However, over the years and due to a nerve condition I have (atypical odontalgia), the dentists/periodontists have cut the gum in between these 2 implants to the point now where there is a very deep crevice, no gum really left up there and the threads of one implant are exposed. It actually made the nerve condition worse but my question is this. My general dentist tells me it is a dry socket now (that's how deep this is). Is there such a thing as a dry socket in a gum (not a tooth extraction) and if so, is there anything that can be done to alleviate discomfort? I have tried every solution out there/water pik, etc with no relief. Oh, and x-rayed to the XXXXXXX No sign of any infection anywhere. Thanks so much.

Brief Answer:
Remove the implant of which the thread is exposed

Detailed Answer:
Hiii, firstof all thank you for approaching us with your query. I read through your query. I must say that if the implant screw is exposed the pain of atypical odontalgia can be triggered due to it. The treatment for that is removal of the affected implant (thread exposed implant) followed by antibiotics (amoxicillin) and anti inflammatory(diclofenac). Also do warm salt water gargle. It can reduce the pain. And regarding dry socket (as said by general dentist),there is only one dry socket which is only related to extraction of teeth.
Hope you understood what I meant. Thankyou and have a healthy day.
