The main types of primary headaches are : migraines, tension headache, sinus headaches, cluster headaches, neuralgias and other primary headaches such as primary stabbing headache.
It is thought that lightning causes an increase risk of headaches and migraines for some persons.
It is suggested that the electromagnetic waves emitted as a result of the lightning strike may trigger the headache or the increased release of pollutants such as ozone or spores may also be involved.
It is already known that higher ambient temperature and lower barometric pressure can lead to an increase in headaches.
For this reason persons may not be entirely sure about what triggers their headaches.
