Question : I am a 47 year old female. For the past few days I have been experiencing a strange pain below my left back shoulder blade which at times feels as though it is radiating through the front of my chest. I usually also have the feeling that I have to pass gas at the same time. The pain typically lasts under a minute and is not accompanied by shortness of breath or sweating. I had a normal ekg about three weeks ago for physical. Does thsi sound heart related.

Hello,
I read your query and here is my advice.
I would recommend you to do an ecg now because it can be heart related. Heart examination may be done first in order to exclude heart related disease.
Even though you did an ecg before three weeks you may need to do another one now.
Also it can be a muscle pain or joint pain.
