Brief Answer:
About neck pain;

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for asking!
The most common cause of the pain that region, is a viral infection of the thyroid gland called subacute thyroiditis.
The pain is usually associated with fever and sometimes symptoms of overactive thryoid such as; excessive sweating, rapid heart rate, weight loss ect.
The diagnosis is made with clinical examination, a full blood count and ESR and a thyroid gland would be of help.
The treatment consists in using non steroid antiimflators (ibuprofen, voltaren) and in more severe cases steroid are used.
Hope the information will help.
Best wishes.
