As to your original question, so far we do not know the contents, the absorption pattern, bio availability, pharmacokinetics (how a drug behaves in body) pharmacodynamics (how body behaves to drug) except from the sources published by the drug manufacturers. There are no independent trials. I am not trying to dissuade you. Personally, as a cardiologist, I believe that drug has no adverse effects. So to answer your question I will say, that packaging of such drugs is not to facilitate their absorption in intestines so these are in stomach acid resistant capsule and get released in intestine. So, if you want to take one third go ahead as you had explained. However, for the drugs meant to bypass the stomach by acid resistant capsules; yet you want to take part of the dose. You will have to procure shells of such capsules which are available with the drug stores of regular medicines. A pharmacist can help you in procuring these. That would be scientific way. Why don't you take by dividing contents of one in 3 capsules using 2 empty gastric acid resistant shells. In any case the FDA named content used to be taken as tablet form, so your original idea is good enough.
