Question: I am considering using fruta planta - however I am emptying the capsule and taking only 1/3 its contents. Do you think this will cause great harm? I only want a little help to curb my appetite to get me started on excercise and diet. I don't intend on using each day just alternate days if i feel i need more assistance to curb appetite. the company I purchased is the Original product not manuf in Fla, etc. I am generally in excellent health with no medication whatsoever!

Hi XXXXXXX,
Thanks for writing in.
I am a cardiologist and read your question with diligence. I see far too many patients with weight problem. I am genuinely interested if the drug is effective. Do let me know at my personal email id is YYYY@YYYY
As to your original question, so far we do not know the contents, the absorption pattern, bio availability, pharmacokinetics (how a drug behaves in body) pharmacodynamics (how body behaves to drug) except from the sources published by the drug manufacturers. There are no independent trials. I am not trying to dissuade you. Personally, as a cardiologist, I believe that drug has no adverse effects. So to answer your question I will say, that packaging of such drugs is not to facilitate their absorption in intestines so these are in stomach acid resistant capsule and get released in intestine. So, if you want to take one third go ahead as you had explained. However, for the drugs meant to bypass the stomach by acid resistant capsules; yet you want to take part of the dose. You will have to procure shells of such capsules which are available with the drug stores of regular medicines. A pharmacist can help you in procuring these. That would be scientific way. Here I want to draw a 18 months old press release of FDA. I do not have any personal comments.

Thank You. I have opened the capsule and emptied more than 1/2 - using the same capsule it comes in! The company I purchased it from says in their literature online that it does not contain stimulates nor Sibutramine and does not affect high blood pressure (my pressure is normal 125/83) I am going to take the 1/3 portion which I resealed in capsule and monitor my body - I'm intuned to reactions - and I trust their statements are true at this date! I thank you very much I will approach this with caution and if it works - i will gradually increase the capsule contents little by little. Thanking you for your time. XXXXXXX

Hello,

Why don't you take by dividing contents of one in 3 capsules using 2 empty gastric acid resistant shells. In any case the FDA named content used to be taken as tablet form, so your original idea is good enough.

I support the idea of motivation by using less of relatively unknown drug so long as it is not overused. If you have no more query may I request the query with comments. Thank you, have a nice evening.

With Best Wishes.
