Please Advise By When Daughter Is 9 Years Old Will Get Better With Cold And Fever

Question : Hi. My daughter is 9 years old and 32.24 kgs. She was down with fever, cold, wet cough and throat pain. Based on the pediatrician's advise, I have been giving her RelentPlus (7ml, twice a day) for 3 days now and Crocin DS(9ml in case of fever). Her fever and throat ache are gone, but her nose is very stuffy and her cough has gotten worse. She says she is feeling her chest pain after coughing a lot. I have now been asked to give Ascoril+ (6ml twice a day) along with RelentPlus. I need some guidance if this course is correct as my regular pediatrician is not available for consult. Please advise by when she will get better and if I need to be alert for any specific symptoms

Thanks for writing to us .
You can continue the latest advice as per your doctor . No harm it is correct . She may take a few more days to get better . If fever is gone no need to worry about infections. However if cough worsens or child becomes dull or develops any new symptoms like fever , vomiting , breathing difficulty especially in Diwali time it could be due to pollution too , then you need to consult again and after checking the lungs , nebulisation may be needed .
