Question : Hi ..me and my boy friend had sex on March 8th and I got my periods on march 25th with gud flow and also on April month(April 20th). But this month I didn't get my periods.. please assist if It could be due to pregnancy? I'm not sure cozz since I got periods for 2 months regularly after having sex.

Hello,
The fact that you got 2 cycles of bleeding , the last on April 20th , post your sexual encounter on March 8th, so pregnancy due to that episode is unlikely. However , now that you have missed your cycle by more than 10 days and if you have been sexually active during this present cycle , then please rule out pregnancy first anyhow with a home urine pregnancy test.
If the pregnancy test is negative then other causes for delay of menses, like hypothyroidism, hyperprolactinemia or polycystic ovarian syndrome may have to be investigated into with a hormonal profile and an ultrasound pelvis.
Also then you may be offered a withdrawal bleed to initiate your menses as well.

Sir the last time we had sex is on march month.. and after that we didn't do intercourse.. so it couldn't be pregnancy rite??

Hello,
In that case if there was no intercourse post march, then pregnancy is unlikely and the cause of delayed menses could be stress induced hormonal imbalance or could be other organic causes as mentioned like pcod, hypothyroidism or hyperprolactinemia , but nevertheless, a urine pregnancy test should be done anyways for documentary evidence and further management.
But yes, in that case pregnancy is unlikely.

Actually I had PCOD problem 6 years back... I have gone to gyn specialist last week and she gave me meprate tablets for 5 days.. I have completed the course and it's been 5 days,still I didn't get periods..

So thats the reason for your delay as well. ideally after 3-7 days , withdrawal bleed can be seen post meprate intake. so please be patient and wait for your withdrawal bleed to occur in next 4-5 days.
