Question : Hello Doctor.

I am 3 month old's mother. My period went on after delivery for approx more than 2 months. After it stopped for 10-12 days.
From yesterday again i am seeing heavy discharge.
Please guide.

A continued bleeding for more than 2 months after delivery is not normal. This can happen due to some retained products in the uterus or an infection or a hormonal disturbance. The treatment will depend on the cause. To find the cause you need to consult your gynecologist and get a few investigations like blood tests and an ultrasound scan done. Proper prescription medicines will help after the cause of bleeding is detected.
