                                    Brief Answer:
PBS is recommended to know the actual RBC picture
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query on Ask A Doctor forum.
The complete blood count (CBC) report shows normal hemoglobin, hematocrit, and slightly increased red blood cell (RBC) count.
MCV, MCH, and MCHC are red cell indices and calculated parameters which are calculated by using hemoglobin, hematocrit, and RBC count.
Since the RBC count is higher than the normal range, red cell indices - MCV, MCH, and MCHC are erroneously low.
I suggest you get a peripheral blood smear examination to get the RBC picture.
Thanks and take care
