Brief Answer:
Hii. Welcome to the Healthcare services. In the bilateral abductor cord pal

Detailed Answer:
Hii. Welcome to the Healthcare services. In the bilateral abductor cord palsy the cords cannot abduct and stay close to the midline. Posterior cordotomy and arytenoidectomy done to create a space between the cords posteriorly. Sometimes this space gets filled up over a period of time. So this surgery is not a cure for the abductor cord palsy but it is a way to avoid breathing difficulty. So patients who has underwent this surgery can have recurrent cord palsy after 5 yrs but most of the time it won't recur. But if it recurs you can undergo revision cordotomy. Please review if you have any queries.
