Question : Hi, please l am suffering from prolonged sore throat that has been disturbing me for more than one month there is nothing l have not drink or taken for relief or soothing so please what should do u suggest l do am really worried

I read your query and here is my advice.
I think you need to do a throat culture to check for bacteria (coci) which can cause this sore throat.
You have used augmentin before and it didn't work so it can be a resistant infection.
Doing a throat culture can find the kind of antibiotic which can be used to eradicate the infection.
We use ceftriaxone injections empirically when augmentin is not working.
