Please Suggest Me Is There Anything Serious There Is A Lump(about 3-4cm Diameter) On My Right Buttock?

Question: Respected sir, There is a lump(about 3-4cm diameter) on my right buttock since very long( about 15-18 years).It might has increased a little within the last 5 years and now it might be of 4.5 diameter. It pains a little only when it is pressed otherwise it doesn't create any problem for me so I was not worried but now Suddenly a fear came to my mind that it might be cancer so I consulted a doctor and did ultrasound . Please suggest me is there anything serious?????

By the description you are giving it seems to be a lipoma which usually is very common and need not worry. But with out examining the lump or getting it biopsy done.

But it shows to clinically correlate, with out examination it's really impossible to diagnose. Kindly visit the general surgeon and get examined once.

Thanks a lot sir. Your words really made me relaxed. But two things still bothers me.
1. If I am safe from cancer then still you are suggesting to repeat ultrasound after 6 months. Is there any doubt that after 6 months any malignant change might be seen ?
2. From internet I saw that "hypoechoic" means solid or cancerous. I found that term "hypoechoic tortous tubular structure "on my report. So I feared.
Sorry for disturbing you again. Am I still safe from cancer on this issue????

Hi as I told you earlier from ultrasound it's difficult to diagnose cancer accurately. If you want to be very confirmatory get the fine needle biopsy of the lesion
