Question : I have having cervical neck pain from past 5 days. Pain is very acute and reached my right arm as well. I am not able to sleep also properly. Please suggest something.

I can understand your issue. You could be suffering from acute cervical radiculopathy where the nerves going to upper arm are compressed by likely a disc in the spine in your neck.

Take Ibuprofen 400mg twice a day for 5 days with PPI cover. Use a pillow beneath your shoulders as this will allow your head to fall back a bit and offer relief.

Use a hot bag wrapped in protective cloth to avoid burns and this will help relieve the muscle spasm and pain associated.

Avoid bending neck forward and lifting anything heavy.

These measures should help you in the Acute stage. If no relief or any worsening of symptoms or weakness of limbs, do contact your doctor.
