Question : Hi Doctor, I am sharing my recent blood report and scan details below-
BP- 124/86
Total Cholesterol- 201
Triglycerides- 312
LDL-153
HDL-48
HbA1C- 5.9
CT Coronary Angiography observations-
Left main artery (LMCA)-Originates from the left coronary sinus and shows normal calibre.
Left anterior descending artery (LAD)- Type 3 vessel giving off 4 diagonals –
Proximal LAD shows concentric soft plaques with 40 to 50% luminal narrowing.
Mid LAD shows minimal myocardial bridging. Distal LAD shows small concentric soft plaques with minimal wall irregularity.
Diagonals- 4 diagonals seen - normal.
Left circumflex (LCX)- Non-dominant vessel - normal
Obtuse Marginal (OM)- Two OMs seen - normal.
Right coronary artery (RCA)- Dominant vessel, originates from the right coronary
sinus
Proximal and mid-RCA show thin eccentric and concentric soft plaques with minimal wall irregularity. Distal RCA is normal.
Posterior descending artery (RPDA)- It shows minimal wall irregularity.
Posterior left ventricular artery (RPLV) - Normal.
Visualised sections of mediastinum appear normal.
Impression: Right dominant circulation
40 to 50% stenosis in proximal LAD. No other flow-limiting lesions
Based on the observations above is there anything I need to worry about? Is the LAD observation looking quite bad?
Please suggest the next course of action. Thanks!

Hello
After going through the medical query raised by you I can understand your concern and I would like to tell you that as you have a family history of diabetes, hypertension and you yourself has deranged lipid profile, all these makes you more susceptible towards heart disease.
As per your angiography report there is nothing to worry as of now but surely your arteries have developed disease process which will progress over a period of time.
You need to follow healthy lifestyle routine strictly which includes daily exercise and healthy diet. Also you need to start some low dose medication for your lipid levels.
Kind Regards

I have a couple of follow-up questions-
1) "My arteries have developed disease process which will progress over a period of time" by this statement you mean the soft plaques deposits(stenois)? Can this be fully reversed like zero plaques/No stenois?
2) Can you prescribe some low dose medication for my deranged lipid levels?

My last set of follow-up questions-
1) Do I need to take any rosuvastatin tabs?
2) If I am able to bring down my LDL levels to ~70 and the Triglycerides to ~120 and I am able to maintain them on a consistent basis, do I still need to continue any medications?
