Question : My husband fell on his lower back and now it has a big swollen spot. But not bruised. it burns and the pain runs down his buttocks.

There is a possibility of fracture of part of the spine or aggravation of slip disc.

Please do get an xray of the spine to confirm any fracture. He can have Paracetamol or Ibuprofen for pain relief and apply cold or warm compress with wet cloth as well.
