Question: I am 41 years old and pregnant with my sixth child. I am 34 weeks pregnant and developed plugged ears that can cause me to have a panic attack. Sudafed is my only relief. I have been taking this meds daily for 5 weeks. Is this safe?

Hello,
Thanks for posting the query.

Sudafed is a decongestant drug.

At 35 weeks of pregnancy it should not cause any adverse effects.

Weigh down the symptoms against the drug , if severe then one has to take it.

Try to do steam inhalation.

Nasal antihistaminics are better choice in pregnancy.

Hope i have answered your query.I will be available for follow up.

Take care
Best wishes
