Hi XXXXXXX
Thanks for consulting us.
Her food should be a good balanced diet which includes:
Carbohydrates like rice, wheat, proteins like meat, egg, pulses & fats. Fresh fruits & vegetables should also be included in her diet. Salads should be specially cut personally & hygienically. Exact proportion of each depends upon her BMI ( body mass index), likes & dislikes & presence or absence of any medical disease.
Pregnant women are healthy normal women & they can eat everything as everyone else. They don't need special diets. Best foods for her are healthy & hygienic home cooked foods. They should avoid half cooked or raw foods.
During the first three months women often have nausea, vomiting & loss of appetite. So, encourage her to take frequent small meals rather than eating three times a day. That is, she should try to eat whenever she feels like it.
Hope I have given you some general clues. Please write back if you have any queries.
Wish you best of luck.
Take care.
