Question : hi, i am 14 weeks pregnant and i am getting stomach pains.....do u think it is safe or should i get it checked......?

Abdominal pain can occur in pregnancy and resolve with no consequences. It is considered to require medication attention if the following are present: (1) the pain is severe or increasing in its intensity (2) it is cramping in nature (3) associated with vaginal bleeding.
The above is normally associated with pregnancy complications.
If your pain does not fit into any of the above then it is less likely to indicate that there is a serious complication which means that you may not have to seek medical attention immediately but can wait till the am.
At that time you can contact your GP office and speak to your doctor who may ask you to come in. At that time, he or she will examine your abdomen, check the genitalia to determine if there is any blood in the vaginal vault and check to see if the cervix is closed.
IF the pain worsens or changes to a cramping nature or vaginal bleeding starts, then it would be best to seek medical attention immediately.You can consider placing a sanitary pad to monitor for any potential bleeding.
