Question : Hi,I have been perscribed Vagifem. But I have had breast cancer and can,t use it , is there a safe alternative?thank you XXXX.

                                    Brief Answer:
Vagifem should not be used in breast cancer women
Detailed Answer:
Hi
The commonest indication of Vagifem is vaginal atrophy.
If it is prescribed for the same reason, you can use Estring. It is a ring that is inserted high in vagina. It gradually releases estrogen for 3 months and there is no increase in blood estrogen levels. You have to change it after 3 months. Many doctors advise it for breast cancer women.
Please consult your doctor and proceed
wish you good health
Regards
