                                            Question : QUESTION ON THE MEANING OF MY BLOOD TESTS CONSIDERING MY HISTORY WHICH YOU ARE AWARE OF :
URINE BETA & GAMMA GLOBULIN WERE BOTH FLAGGED AS "DETECTED" WHEN THEY SHOULD HAVE BEEN "NONE DETECTED".
MY URINE IMMUNOGLOBULIN KAPPA/LAMBDA RATIO WAS FLAGGED AT 10.53-RATIO(WITH REF-RANGE OF 2.04---10.37 RATIO).
URINE IMMUNOGLOBULIN KAPPA LIGHT ch---2.00-mg/dL---(REF-RANGE-0.14---2.42-mg/dL).
URINE IMMUNOGLOBLIN LAMBDA LIGHTc---0.19-mg/dL---(REF-RANGE-0.02-mg/dL---0.67-mg/dL).
PLEASE HELP ME ON THIS. Lamoine Geanangel

Thanks for your query. I read some of your other queries and got some idea about your symptoms.
These tests are within normal limits. Urine kappa and lambda chains are normal, only the ratio is borderline elevated but it is usually of no clinical significance.
Do you have any low albumin in blood? And what are the serum protein electrophoresis and immunofixation results? I assume these have been done before getting urine free light chains.
Overall I feel that there is nothing to worry on the basis of these reports.
