Question : Query for follow up
Dr. Asmeet XXXXXXX Sawhney

I still have black mark on my foot. I had a virtual session with a dermatologist the other day and sent picture. He felt it wasn't a big deal and he would probably remove it if he was in office.
He said I can probably pumice off.

I think you thought maybe it should be removed? Can I wait a couple of months. I have had this for about 5 weeks. And saw it just like picture .

I LIVE IN NEW YORK we are quarantining.

My local dermatologist is seeking only emergency patients for several hours a day.

I am worried about Corona . They said they are taking all precautions and I would be only one in waiting room when I get there.

New Yorkers will be quarantined for quite a while. Do you think I should have him look at it?

I wear mask and gloves but have been so careful to stay in except for grocery store .

Thank you

I hope you see this.

I have an appointment New York time 8:30 am tomorrow.

Brief Answer:
Needs removal, not an emergency, keep it under observation

Detailed Answer:
Hi
I have gone through your query and understand your concern.
It is a melanocytic naevus which needs to be removed.
Yes you can definitely wait for few months before getting it removed.
It is not an emergency.
Once the situation improves in NewYork you can consult your dermatologist.
Just keep it under observation.

Dr Asmeet

I actually just came from doctor

He said it’s blood like rubbing from shoe

To just leave it and keep eye on it.

My other virtual dermatologist said like you to remove it

Brief Answer:
Keep it under observation

Detailed Answer:
There is a possibility that it could be friction related.
I would recommend you to keep it under observation.
If it is due to rubbing with footwear it will improve in some time.
Otherwise it has to be removed.

Virtual doctor saw same picture as you

Said can use pumice to take off.

What do think ?

Hopefully, no one had corona as a patient
Now I’m nervous

Can corona be airborne?

Thank you again.

Best,

Melanie
