Hi,
Thanks for posting your query.
I am Dr.R.K and I am pleased to assist you.
You have a mildly elevated total bilirubin with indirect component (1.5) more than direct component (0.3) and normal liver enzyme levels.
This could be due to a condition called XXXXXXX Syndrome. This is a harmless condition and does not require any active intervention.
Regards,
Dr.R.K.

My previous year total bilirubin/direct readings are 0.5/0.1. What I read about XXXXXXX Syndrome is that it's a mild genetic disorder. So it should have shown these levels before too or is my understanding is wrong?
Also, what I avoid and what should I eat to keep these levels checked or any medication to follow?

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for getting back to me with more questions.
In XXXXXXX Syndrome, the bilirubin levels keep fluctuating and can touch the baseline too.
You can confirm the diagnosis by genetic testing.
For XXXXXXX Syndrome, no active intervention is needed.
Dehydration, infection and fasting increase the bilirubin levels in this condition and should be treated accordingly.

Dr.R.K
