Question : Recently I’ve been experiencing some rectal pain (feels like its near my anus) while ejaculating. Wondering why this is the case and how I can treat it? Im a 20 y/o male.

There are many possible causes that make you pain in the rectal area while ejaculating such as infection, skin problems or bad feelings about a partner or relationship. An infection can be in the prostate- the prostate is a gland that makes some of fluid men release during sex. And infections in other parts of the body can also make sex hurt. Infection with a disease spread through sex, such as gonorrhea and chamydia (Sexual transmitted disease). Sexual transmitted diseases are treated with anitbiotic if you are at risk and medicines for your pain. It depends on your underlying causes. Your doctor will examine you and does some tests such as urine tests for bladder infection.

Im actually not sexually active right now and haven’t been for quite awhile. I’ve noticed this while masturbating. Also when I urinate my stream is completely normal.

Thank you for your clarification. Do you have any symptom like genital discharge? Do you have any genital ulcer? How is your defecation? If you have pain that make you more worry about you should take a presumptive treatment for STI by seeing your doctor, even you not sexually active right now. He or she would prescribe you antibiotic for that.
