Question: Returned home from 2 weeks of travel; my throat is sore on one side when I swallow; and my ear, while not achy or hurting exactly, is throbbing on that same side every so often. I am also quite tired, although I had plenty of sleep last night.

Brief Answer:
Antihistamines + steam inhalation...

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

The symptoms are related to upper respiratory. It may be related to infection or allergy. Zicam alone may not be sufficient. I would suggest to start tylenol cold and sinus twice daily and tab zyrtec once at night. Steam inhalation three times daily will benefit you. If throat pain is severe, I will recommend visiting a doctor for a throat swab.

It's good you are able to rest well. Continue drinking lots of fluids. Avoid cold and refrigerated food products.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you need clarifications.

Regards
