Hello,

Thanks for the query.

I understand your concern regarding your son‘s skin problem.

Ring like lesion on hand may be due to fungal infection, annular dermatitis, pityriasis rosea, drug induced.

It is difficult to comment about diagnosis and treatment based on description alone. You have a feature to upload picture / images by yourself on right side of this query page. You may want to post a photo of your son’s skin lesion, so I can comment specifically.

I would like to know about following points,
1) Since how long he has this problem?
2) Which medication is being taken or applied?
3) Has he lesion only on one hand? Any other area is involved or not?
4) Is there any itching, burning or pain?
5) Is there any past history of similar lesion?

Awaiting your response.

Regards

Hello

Thank you for your reply.

I have analyzed the image and detail about treatment.
It is fungal infection (ring worm). We call it tinea corporis. It is superficial fungal infection of the skin. It spread in shape of ring with central clearing and elevated border.

It takes average 8 weeks to cure. In some resistant case it may take long time. He is taking right oral medicine. Please do continue it. I would like to change the cream. Apply TYZA-M cream twice a day for 10 days and then start EBERNET cream twice a day.

There is nothing to worry about it. It is surely going to be cured.

I hope I answered your query.

Let me know if you have any further question.

Wish him speedy recovery.

Regards
