Well, clenching your teeth is one of the most common cause of jaw joint pain and at times jaw joint dysfunction.
You should first of all get ruled out for the cause of clenching of teeth.
If you have stress as it is a common cause of clenching of teeth so you need to work on your stress levels by doing meditation and deep breathing exercises.
Also you should start massaging the sides of your face from the area of jaw joint to the angle of jaw and forwards with gentle round motion for relief.
Muscle relaxants can also help.
Also you should avoid hard foods and avoid excessive mouth opening.
