Question: Hi,
I Start coughing whenever i have cold water or anything cold, the cough last for about one hour with bad pain in throat. Want to know which medicine can in take and is it allergic cough or something else ?

It is a mild variant of allergy.
Best thing is to avoid extremely cold food intake like ice-cold water.
If the same happens in winter, it is safe to keep yourself warm.
If it is not associated with wheezing or breathing difficulty, mast cell stabilizers may be used to decrease the hyper-responsiveness. Dextromethorphan syrup can relieve cough.
If it is associated with wheezing, beta-2 agonist like salbutamol, mast cell stabilizers may be used. Do get them prescribed by your treating physician.
