HCG shot is given to induce ovulation and release of egg. It is given as 5000IU subcutaneous or intramuscular according to the type of preparation . Usually it is given at the midcycle.
Do not self medicate as it can cause serious side effects . The doses need regulation under medical supervision

Thank you so much. Do you have any idea of the doses? I have chriomon 5000 I.U. How many doses shall I take.my half cycle is after tomorrow. Also can you please let me know what are the side effects

For ovulation a single dose is given after follicular monitoring . This cannot be predicted without an ultrasound scan . The side effects include multiple pregnancy , allergic reactions , etc.
