Question : Hi pain in the back of my head near hairline; bilateral; tender to touch for past 2 weeks; Motrin 600 mg does my provide any relief.

Thank you for posting your query.

Symptoms are suggestive of muscle tension headache.

Medications that can help are amitriptyline taken at night.

For relief of pain, diclofenac or ibuprofen can be taken twice or thrice daily.

Physiotherapy including IFT and ultrasound would also help.
