Question : My wife delivered a baby on 23 Feb 2014. Before delivery she was taking medicine Ferrium xt and AAA Cal. Should she continue taking these Iron and Cal medicines post delivery. If yes, then are these medicines are fine - Ferrium xt and AAA Cal. For how long she should continue taking these.

Brief Answer: SHE WOULD CONTINUE ABOVE MEDICINES FOR 6 MONTHS. Detailed Answer: Hello, Thanks for writing to us. YES, she would continue above mentioned IRON and CALCIUM tabs for at least 6 months following delivery or till she is on breast feeding. Along with, she must take healthy protein rich diet, drink more water or fluids and maintain genital hygiene properly. Hope, it helps for your information.
