Question : Should I add Guaifensin to the Robitussin DM (dextromethorphan and Doxylamine succinate). I'm trying to get some overnight relief to this cough and cold - and I've already taken the Robitussin for the night. Thanks for your answer.

Hello,

I can understand your concern. Yes, you can take syp. robotussin DM as it acts both ways i.e. cough expectorant and suppressant, provided that you should not have severe infection. As you are already taking tab. sudafed, so take tab. doxylamine as per severity of cold and congestion. As these are prescription medications, kindly consult with your doctor. Along with that use nasoclear nasal drops and take steam or nebulisation. Kindly follow up if you have any query.
