Should I Be Concerned I Noticed 5 Red Shiny Spots On The Head Of My Penis ?

Question: I am a male. I had sex two weeks ago, protected with condom, but a three days later I noticed 5 red shiny spots on the head of my penis and two on the shaft. No sores, no itching, no blistering but one became a little bumpy but I always felt fine. No fever, no coughing, no runny nose, no aches or pains. 14 days later (today) they seem to be going away. Should I be concerned? What kind of doctor should I see, a dermatologist? I am concerned if I do have something that my longtime partner will contract. Please advise.

Brief Answer:
Needs more details

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for posting your query.
I saw the pictures sent by you. As you said, they were neither ulcesr nor blisters. Most unlikely to be genital herpes. Have you any itching around your genitals, buttocks and thigh? Erythematous papules are seen over glans penis.
Have you applied anything over the glans penis? Have you applied soap or dettol?
Kindly furnish these details to discuss further. There is nothing serious. But anyhow you have abstain from sexual activities for 3 months and have to rule out other STIs with appropriate tests before resume sex with your longtime partner

Thank you for your reply.
A little itching in the genital area, nothing more than usual. I tend to be a little hot in the region so occasionally I do itch in the areas you suggest. Even prior to this. I did carefully apply neosporin and cortisone cream, not together, after showers; and of course soap with showers. No Dettol has been applied. They are almost gone. However, I will plan to test for STIs for good measure.

How many days after the initial contact should I wait to get the tests?
Are the blood tests accurate?

I found Health Labs that run a gamut of test to include HSV-1 and HSV-2, Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, Syphilis RPR, and Hepatitis A B & C. Is this what you would recommend?

When I test is important as well as are they accurate.

Brief Answer:
Likely to be genital Scabies. Needs a dermatological consultation.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome back.

You had protected exposure. So nothing big would have come across.

The lesions see to be scabies infestation. You just consult a Dermatovenereologist. It will be cleared within 2 weeks.
Regarding the test, as you had protected exposure, I don't think of any possibility of sexually Transmitted Infection.

Any how ruling out all STIs by sexually transmitted diseases panel tests will relieve the unnecessary tension and relieve the anxiety.
