Question : I noticed an external hemorrhoid 3 days ago due to constipation. This afternoon I passed a clot and have had slight red bleeding since. Should I be concerned?

Brief Answer:
You should be examined clinically

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Bleeding per rectum can be due to Haemorrhoids,Fissure in ano,Polyp etc.
Exact cause will be known.by Clinical examination.
Proctoscopy examination will also be helpful.
Treatment depends on the stage of the Haemorrhoids. In early stages(1&2), conservative treatment is sufficient. In late stages(3&4), Surgery has to be done.
Please take plenty of liquids.High fiber diet ,Fresh fruits and vegetables should be taken.
Avoid Non vegetarian food, spicy food, Carbonated drinks.
Nothing to worry.
Please consult a Surgical Gastroenterologist/General Surgeon and proceed further.
Hope I answered your query. If you have any questions,I will clarify further
Wish you good health and speedy recovery
