Question: Dear doctor,

I had a small & hard pimple kind of thing since 5-6 years. It is on my back below the shoulder and next to the spinal cord (not on spinal cord). Since last 4-5 months, it has grown in size. I was not having any sensation if i touch it. Since last week i am feeling mild sensation. No pain as such.

Should i do something about it or leave it?
My local doctor suggested it is a "cyst" and i can get it surgically removed at my own time.

Please guide.

Brief Answer:
It seems sebaceous cyst

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

It seems to be sebaceous cyst and you can get it removed. It is a minor OPD surgery and you don't need to be admitted.
