Question: I have recently been changed from 25mg of Metoprolol (2 times per day) over to 50 mg of Metoprolol Succinate. It has resolved my skipped heat beats, but now having off and on pain in front of neck on left side (looking forward). Should this be concerning? Pain is not severe but several times of day. At the time I feel it, if I touch the area it feels sore. But 15 minutes later or so, the pain is gone and not sore to touch. Can you explain? and is it serious?

Detailed Answer:
Hello sir

After going through the medical details provided by you I understand your concern and would like to tell you that as per the symptoms explained by you the chest pain doesn’t seems cardiac.

Cardiac chest pain doesn’t happen while pressing. This type of chest discomfort is because of costochondritis or muscle soreness. Simply take some muscle relaxant for 5 days and you will be alright

There is nothing serious. Don’t worry you just need to relax.

Kind Regards
