Question : I was diagnosed with shingles while incarcerated. Now it feels like they are in my chest and esophogus. Verry painful. I was released 3 days ago it seems to be worst. Should I go to er

I don't think in your case is necessary to rush to the ER, but you should start treatment.

In such cases, gabapentin and acyclovir may be necessary to be used.

You should see your primary care Doctor, because the treatment is given by prescription.
