Question : For past week or so have been experiencing also have been burping alot, sometimes even feels like burp is stuck in chest. About two years ago I was diagnosed as having GERD along with a hiatial hernia could there be a connection?

Hi there and thanks for choosing "Ask a Doctor" service for your query,
Obviously yes there is a connection between untreated hostel hernia causing GERD and leading to burping etc.
You should take over the counter Prizolec once daily before breakfast and get the hernia corrected once COVID 19 is in control at your place.
Avoiding fizzy drinks alcohol and heavy spicy food would also help you.
Till the time you go for correction surgery take Prizolec once daily.
Activated charcoal tablets could also be taken along with it.
If not relieved follow up in 3 days.
