I would explain as follows:

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

A correct answer to your concern could be given after properly reviewing the exact reason of his cardiac disorder. His cardiomyopathy (enlarged heart) could be caused by several causes like a heart valve disorder, ischemic disease, certain endocrine and metabolic diseases, etc. Each of the potential underlying causes represents different clinical courses and prognosis.

A valvular disorder such as aortic insufficiency, an endocrine disorder (such as thyroid dysfunction) may be associated with skin vasomotor disorder, as well as other non-related issues. Regarding prognosis, it will depend on several components, mainly the actual cardiac performance indexes, but also other potential co-morbidity as well (pulmonary, renal, metabolic, etc.). Of course, an appropriate treatment strategy would be of pivotal role.

You need to discuss with his attending doctor (cardiologist or internist) for getting correct information on the above mentioned health issues.

I remain at your disposal in case of any additional medical issues to continue our discussion.

Hope to have been helpful to you!

Regards,
Dr. Iliri
