Should I Get This Checked For Excessive Bruising Further?

Question : I have been having excessive bruising in response to minor injury (including a large bruise due to a recent IV) for several months. I've had two blood tests recently where all blood counts and hematocrit/ hemoglobin were normal. The only unusual finding was an elevated vitamin b12 level of 1116 pg/ml. A second fasting test was 1088 pg/ml. I do not take any supplements. Should I get this checked out further?
Brief Answer:
Platelet count, PT, APTT, TT and LFT recommended.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Easy bruising can occur due to various causes like low platelet count, disorders of coagulation system or weakening of vessel wall.
I suggest you to get a platelet count and peripheral film examination to assess the morphology of platelets.
In addition, prothrombin time (PT), activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT) and thrombin time(TT) to assess the coagulation pathway.
Vitamin B 12 levels are elevated in disease of liver and some malignancies.
I suggest you to get liver function tests initially.
Kindly, post the results of above mentioned investigations for assessment.
Thanks and take care
