Should I Go To Emergency Services Increase In Blood Pressure (154/89) ?

Question: I have taken a Buspirone HCL tablet of 7.5mg about 3 hours ago and a Hydroxyzine HCL 25mg Tablet about an hour ago. All are prescribed to me by my psychiatrist who told me this combination was ok. I have noticed a slight increase in blood pressure (154/89) and heart rate (118). It feels harder to breathe and I am a bit nauseous. Along with a slight headache above my right eye. Is this something to be concerned about? Did I use my medicines incorrectly ? Should I go to emergency services?

Brief Answer:
Monitor blood pressure

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Buspirone (Buspirone HCL) and hydroxyzine (Hydroxyzine HCL) are both medications used to treat anxiety. They work in different ways, with buspirone acting on serotonin receptors and hydroxyzine as an antihistamine with sedative properties. Both medications can have side effects, including changes in blood pressure, heart rate, and respiratory function.

The increase in blood pressure and heart rate you're experiencing could be related to the combined effects of the medications. The breathing difficulty and nausea could also be potential side effects. The headache above your right eye could be unrelated or potentially a side effect of one of the medications.

YOU SHOULD MONITOR YOUR BLOOD PRESSURE HOURLY. AND IN CASE HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE YOU NEED TO TAKE ANTIHYPERTENSIVE.
